HALLOWEEN PARADE 2010

THURSDAY, OCT. 21

The Wapakoneta Halloween Parade will light up the night in downtown Wapakoneta. Northwest Ohio’s premier Halloween parade features plenty of scary ghouls and goblins with over 100 entries and thousands of spectators.  The parade features floats, civic groups, animals, car and tractor clubs. Numerous school bands march in Halloween costumes.  School groups, civic clubs and businesses enter colorful floats with animation and lights.  Trophies are presented in six categories.  A children’s costume contest is held at the review stand prior to the parade.

The Wapakoneta Halloween parade has a long tradition that goes back to the 1920’s.  The 2010 parade will be held on Thursday evening, October 21 starting at 6:30 PM.  The parade will leave the fairgrounds and head east on Auglaize Street and travel through the downtown business district.  The parade is sponsored by the Wapakoneta Chamber of Commerce.  Contact the Chamber at 419-738-2911 or chamber@wapakoneta.com
