Rockford Community Days & Art Festival

Rockford is eager to celebrate all our community has to offer with a festival, June 17th and 18th at Shanes Park. Yes! Father’s Day weekend – bring Dad and make some fun memories to last a lifetime. As our weekend festival quickly approaches, we invite you to make plans to attend our celebration and spend the day in Rockford!

We are so excited to share that thanks to generous donations from Belna Petroleum and the Community Days Committee, RIDES & INFLATABLES will be FREE. There is plenty to keep the kids busy! FREE old fashion kids’ races, sponsored by the Parkway Athletic Booster Club and a FREE Party on The Splash Pad, sponsored by The Rockford Carnegie Library. Come dance, play, mingle, and cool off. But wait there is more – Car Show, Arts Festival, Vendor Market, Parade, Carnival Food, Local Food and Live Entertainment. Featured bands include: The Van Wert Community Band, My Sister Sarah, Sold Out Saints, and Forty Acres. Our beer tent will be featuring local brews from Second Crossing Brew Co. along with Budweiser products.

Please note our NEW parade route will be going down Franklin Street to Front Street to Shanes Park.

Our most popular event is back again. Bring the family out to enjoy the always spectacular Fireworks, Friday night at 10pm. Sponsored by The Fremont Company.

Festival proceeds help maintain and improve Shanes Park. While spending the day in our quaint Village– make sure you visit our downtown businesses, Rockford Community garage sales, view the Historic Mural on the South Wall of the Fire Department, and our Veterans Memorial at Hedges Park beside the American Legion.
