Jane has a Fine Arts degree from Miami University in Oxford, and worked as an in-house artist for Gibson Greeting Cards in Cincinnati for 8 years after graduation. After Gibson Greetings she became a free-lance artist creating greeting cards for Gibson Greetings & many other card companies, illustrating children’s books (30+) & creating features for children’s magazines such as Highlights, Spider, Cricket , Ladybug, Babybug, etc.

We moved to Coldwater in 2000 where she continued her free-lance career. We purchased the former American Budget Savings & Loan building in downtown Coldwater in 2019. This is when she moved her studio from our home to downtown Coldwater. She opened PennyJane Art Gallery in Nov 2020 to the public beginning with 10 local artist ……. She has now grown to represent 25+ artist (all local). The back half of the building is her studio & the front half is the gallery.
