26th Annual Evening for Race Fans with Ryan Blaney & Danny Smith
The Celina-Mercer County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce NASCAR star Ryan Blaney & sprint car veteran Danny Smith will be the featured guests at the 26th Annual Evening for Race Fans on Saturday, January 8th in St. Henry, Ohio.
Ryan, a third generation racer with his roots strongly planted in Ohio, is the son of Sprint Car and NASCAR Veteran Dave Blaney. At 27 years of age, Blaney remains a key pillar of NASCAR’s youth movement and an important part of Team Penske’s championship-winning NASCAR program. In 2021 Blaney was a three time winner in the NASCAR Cup Series and made the series playoffs for the 5th consecutive season.
Danny Smith, born in 1957 and originally from Danville, Indiana is a 2015 National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductee and a multi-time feature race winner with the World of Outlaws, All Star Circuit of Champions, USAC and is the 2021 United Sprint Car Series Champion.
This event provides intriguing and great racing stories as the guests spend time on the stage with long time event Emcee Mike King as they reflect on their careers, other competitors and the sport of auto racing. The evening includes an opportunity for autographs and a fantastic buffet dinner prepared by the staff at Romer’s Catering.
This event serves as a fundraiser with over $275,000 raised for the Chamber, EverHeart Hospice, and Community Health Professionals Hospice over the past 25 events.
